This is a relaxed, hands-on day for anyone actively enjoying retro computing \u2014 whether you\u2019re repairing old machines,
\nexperimenting with code, upgrading hardware, or simply proud of a setup you want to share.<\/p>\n

Theme (Proposed): Econet<\/h3>\n

The suggested theme for this meet-up is Econet<\/strong> \u2014 Acorn\u2019s classic networking system.
\nIf you\u2019ve got Econet hardware, software, cables, terminators, fileservers, or memories of running it back in the day,
\nbring them along. Even if you\u2019re just curious, it\u2019s a great excuse to learn from others.<\/p>\n

Payment for your participation in this event is done individually at the Falkirk Business Hub<\/a> reception
\non the event day
\n<\/strong>.
\nPlease register here<\/strong> on this website to let us know you\u2019re planning to attend, then pay on the day at reception.
\nThe normal price is \u00a310 (+VAT) per 4 hours of desk rental in the co-working space (the space we usually use for I.T. Crowd gatherings),
\nbut attendees will receive a 10% discount<\/strong>. You can pay for the full day (09:00 to 17:00) or for a four-hour block
\n(I recommend the former).<\/p>\n

    \nIf there\u2019s interest, we\u2019ll set aside time for informal Econet show-and-tell: setups, gotchas, troubleshooting, and ideas.<\/li>\n
  • Projects in Progress<\/strong>
    \nSoftware experiments, hardware mods, music tools, restorations \u2014 finished or unfinished, all are welcome.<\/li>\n
  • Collaborative Tinkering<\/strong>
    \nTeam up with others to explore ideas, troubleshoot issues, or dive into shared coding or hardware challenges.<\/li>\n
  • Shared Knowledge & Experience<\/strong>
    \nSwap tips, discoveries, and hard-earned lessons with people who genuinely enjoy this era of computing.<\/li>\n

    This is an open, platform-agnostic event. While Acorn systems are very much at home here, we warmly welcome
    \nenthusiasts of Sinclair, Atari, Commodore, Amstrad, Apple<\/strong>, and other classic machines.
    \nIf you enjoy retro tech, you\u2019ll fit right in.<\/p>\n

    The venue is just a two-minute walk from Grahamston Train Station<\/strong> and easily accessed from the
    \nM9<\/strong>. Full lift access and disabled facilities are available. After the event, Falkirk offers plenty
    \nof nearby bars and restaurants for those who want to continue chatting into the evening.<\/p>\n
